If you’re a FeedDemon user, here is a hack to allow you to post to WP from within FeedDemon.
This plugin turns off comments after a selected number of days. Gives the advantage of not leaving older posts open to spam comments.
This hack uses an existing function built into WP to validate eMail addresses of those placing comments to your weblog. This assumes you are requiring name and eMail in your options.
