Available as a free resource in Tekrati’s Industry Analyst Reporter “Analyst Cafe” section, the blog directory provides a single, central resource that makes it easy to find and click through to blogs published by the analysts. The directory displays hyperlinked blog titles plus analyst authors, firms and short blog descriptions.

I found this tutorial on how to kill referrer spam. For most sites it’s not a big deal unless you display your referrals on your page somewhere. The one thing about referral spam that does bother me is the bandwidth that’s used to constantly hit my site with fake referrers. So if you want to end this type of spam and have access to your .htaccess file, this method should work for you.

HeadImage is a WordPress plugin that changes the header background of a page based on a custom field for the first post on the page. If the first post on a page has no head_image custom field set the additional CSS line won’t be written and you’ll get the theme’s default image.

For those of you who like to Separate Trackbacks & Pingbacks here’s how to do that in WordPress 1.5 (1.3). I can’t figure out why WordPress default doesn’t have this option. BTW, this is a hack and not a plugin.

WP-Gatekeeper is a plugin/hack to help combat comment spam. The plugin asks the commenter a question which requires the correct answer to get pass the Gatekeeper.
