Trackback Host Verification is a WordPress Plugin which examines whether the host that implements the Trackback/Pingback is also the host which is linked in the URL of the Trackback Post. Since Spammers use open proxys, this plugin should be able to stop trackback spam.

This is a German site and I got the plugin description by using Google’s translation service. Hopefully I have the description correct.
