I have converted another open source design into a WordPress theme for Blogging Pro. It’s a beta version and needs lots of clean-up so it may be a few days before I can release it. I want to first see how it performs and knock out any bugs. If you see any problems please let me know.

2Is the header text color meant to be black? It’d probably look better if it were #eee or #fff.

3I don’t like the black at all but I tried white and it stands out too much. I’ll try #eee and see what it looks like. Thanks for the suggestion Mike.

4All hail OSWD! Looks like you stumbled across haran’s designs too.
I’ve been using Gila for quite a while over at Literal Barrage (I was previously using haran’s Tierra Verde as well).
I plan on massaging his Prosimii into a WP theme for Alex’s theme contest.

5We must have the same taste because I’m going to convert Prosimii for another non-blogging project. Good job on Gila btw.

7Thanks.
There’s just something about haran’s designs that evoke both simplicity and elegance, methinks.

8It’s about TIME that someone used the whole screen and killed off the dead space. Excellent. Love the layout.

9I’d move Categories above Archives, if I were in charge of the world, because the categories you have to offer are of much more value to the user than the idea that you may have things sorted by date. We’re impressed.
But honestly, the categories are of the most value - move them up.

10Good call Lorelle, I’ll do that.

11There’s a few problems with this new theme. First, all the links at the bottom of the page don’t seem to work. More importantly, everytime you post, your rss feed shows all the posts from “Limit Number Of Posts With WordPress”, to “WordPress Theme: Gila”. This instead of just the “new” posts. I’m using Bloglines. At first, I thought you were doing something with the feed, but now I feel it must be some kind of problem with the theme. Or at least the feed itself.
I just thought you would like to know.

12The links at the bottom don’t work intentionally. If you read the footer.php comments you can activate them.
The theme has nothing to do with the RSS feeds. The problem with the feed has been discussed here.

13No, I think you misunderstand. The bottom links are not working on your site. Unless this is intentional. The ones that are not working are “Contact Me” and all the others on that line.
As for the feed, that’s good to hear. I was worried that Bloglines was having other problems. I can understand wanting ads there. I barely go to websites that put all the text in their feeds. I can see the need to have ads in them to help revenue.

14No, I know what you mean. I haven’t activated those links. I was waiting until I have finished creating those pages. I didn’t think anyone actually scrolled all the way down to end of my pages
It looks like the feed is now working normally. I need to get with Kanoodle and see why the posts keep refreshing. Sorry about the hassle.

15Oh no hassle!
As for the links at the bottom, I was going to ask you about the feed using your contact page, but that didn’t work.
