If you mean through Fantastico in Cpanel, then it has been there for quite some time, but that is an older version of WordPress, namely 1.2.1.
If it’s the latest version of Fantastico, it does infact have 1.5, not 1.2.1. I just used it to install 1.5 myself last month.
I hear all this about WP in cPanel, do you mean cPanel or Fantastico?
Fantastico is sort of a de facto installation of cPanel, the two are used interchangabely.
One one of my websites, I get WP 1.2 on Fantastico. On the other website, I get WP 1.5. The weird thing is, both are run off of the same webhost
