3000 del.icio.us Links for $100?
I was over at Micro Persuasion and noticed an interesting post entitled “$100 Buys You Lots of del.icio.us Links“.
It looks like Jakob Lodwick has decided to see how many del.icio.us links for $100. The contest is simple. You bookmark a page (http://www.blumpy.org/100/) from your del.icio.us account and you are entered into the draw for winning $100 USD. So far there have been 3,000 people linking the page, up from the 1300 people that Steve Rubel noted when he posted this morning.
I wonder if this thing is ethical, or even smart. Is maniplating such systems a good idea? Is it worth us taking our time for what might be around a 1 in 20,000 chance at winning $100? With everything that is going on in the blogging community with being paid to blog on specific topics, do we really want to see things like the del.icio.us popular list being filled with spammy entries so people can make a few bucks?
