WordPress Theme: Merdeka

Merdeka is a simple, but elegant one column theme with a pull down three column header where the search, categories and other details are included Merdeka is another in the long line of new themes being created for blogs where many of the “blog” features are rarely used, thus pushing them to a hidden segment of the theme rather than taking up vital screen real estate. I don’t really like this idea for the most part, but this one is done reasonably well.
Well, let me started by saying that this is my fifth theme for wordpress (free), wooho.. quite happy.. the name ‘merdeka’ is basically ‘freedom’ in my native language, malay. Its a simple yet elegant 1 column for content and 3 columns as the sidebar. As always, this theme was handcoded by using notepad and it took me a whole day (if i do the math) to finish the development of this theme. This theme validates Xhtml transitional and Css validator. This theme has been tested with Internet explorer, firefox, and opera under windows pc. It is designed to work with wordpress engine 1.5+.

This site appears to recieve a great deal of visitors. How do you get traffic to it? It gives a nice individual spin on things. I guess having something authentic or substantial to talk about is the most important factor.
After learning this, I hope folks do something about it. It’s always such a tragedy when folks don’t use good information to make a difference.
