There is this really cool thing called the SIMILE Timeline, which is a “JavaScript based website widget that displays an interactive timeline of events”. Check it out at the SIMILE website.
Then go to freshlabs and get the plugin to have one on your blog.
This plugin integrates the SIMILE Timeline with WordPress. It displays posts from a specific category in the timeline widget. You only need to add < !–similetimeline– > to a WordPress page or post.
It is such a neat idea, and if the plugin works well (let me know), then this could be a great way to show off life events.

2[...] I was goofing around just now looking at possibly upgrading this blog and started looking at the plugins available for Wordpress. One of the first things that I came across is the SIMILE - Timeline plugin. Clicking on the link to check out and example of this plugin there was a link off their site to this example of the timelines of Jewish and Christian History. The data is based off the Timeline of Christianity at Wikipedia. This is a “DHTML Ajaxy widget” that just has to be seen. Boy, where was this when I was teaching Sunday School?! [...]
