71Miles: Amazing WordPress Use
Matt Mullenweg recently posted about a new site called 71Miles that makes use of WordPress and while I thought I had seen it all when it comes to WordPress manipulation, the overall experience of 71Miles just blows me away. I am chomping at the bit to learn more about how they pulled it all together.
Look at the beautiful design, the use of a variety of services, as well as WordPress to pull it all together. I am amazed at what they did. Check out 71Miles to see what I mean.

I must agree that this blog/site is a wonderful job! maybe the best job i ever seen with wordpress, you are totally right. But it’s not so difficult to do this. FOr instance, the maps you can use in wordpress the content-wrapper plugin, that plugin permits you to use php scripts in the posts/layouts. With that you use for instante phoogle (a php maps script) that can make the header. The expand map is a bit of javascript. The layout is very simple css with a fixed background. The videos are based on a third party-site, you have plugins in wordpress to put videos. It’s a question of imagination, put all together and you can generate a very good work
Amazing job!! 71miles could go to the anual blog awards.
