No More Rounds for 9rules?

A recent post on the 9rules blog talks about 9rules and all it has to offer, and than points to a new page that has been created called membership. The membership page says that if you want to join, you should e-mail Tyme, one of the leaders of the 9rules Network, with some details about yourself.

Scrivs, Tyme and Mike pick the sites that are admitted into 9rules. Picky people Scrivs, Tyme and Mike are, looking for interesting content, updated regularly. They look for writers that not only care about their sites but their readers, are committed to their writing and passionate about what they write about.

That leads to the obvious question: how does one join 9rules? For right now, email Tyme with your request.

This to me makes sense, as it will allow them to get a steady flow of 9rules Network enthusiasts wanting to join their ranks, and they can sort it out as they have time and energy rather than having such heightened expectations that the round system they have used since the beginning.

I am not sure if this means the end of 9rules using submission rounds, but it is an interesting development none the less.

I never understood 9rules. I know that it has the best sites with the best content but it always seemed so hard to navigate!

I agree. Seems to be a snooty bunch, though, and I see little content value.

If you read my blogs you will see that I am not much of a joiner (follower).

Seen a few things written about these guys recently.

I never understood what was so special about them. Hard to get around, a pretty tepid group of blogs. I see very little of the “passion” they talk about except from the technology group. The whole place is like a bunch of little robots all doing the same thing and kissing up the ass of the rulers. Pretty funny if you ask me; they stress being unique yet there isn’t an edge to any of the blogs I have read in their network. Old news.

They have a market, geared toward little kids and followers; they know where their bread is buttered but I think they will fade.

I joined 9rules after a friend spoke highly of them. I was only a member a few days, but that was long enough for me to decide this was not a community I wanted to be a part of. The friendliest person there was Tyme. To be 100 % honest with you, I found a large majority of those posting in the note section rude and disrespectful.
