Matt has released the July stats for WordPress.com and the site just keeps on growing with no signs of slowing down.

• 133 thousand blogs were created.
• 143 thousand new users joined.
• 1 million file uploads.
• 2 million posts and 764 thousand new pages.
• 2.8 million comments.
• 19 million spam comments blocked.
• 2.4 million logins. (That’s about a login a second.)
• 281 million pageviews on WordPress.com, and another 95 million on self-hosted blogs. (375 million pageviews total.)

With these kinds of stats, I am surprised that more companies are not trying to find ways to “buy” the service from Automattic. The numbers have grown so large now that they are pretty much meaningless to me. Kudos to the folks making WordPress.com work, and all the people that use the service.
