Posted by David Peralty as WordPress Plugins
When I first heard about this plugin and Firefox extention combination, I didn’t give it much thought. I didn’t think that something like this could be created. I took another look at it when LifeSpy, one of Bloggy Network’s sites, mentioned it, and now I am happy to report that I think this is pretty darn cool.
OneClick allows you to add themes and plugins by clicking on them. Here is what the plugin author has to say:
OneClick is a Wordpress Plugin+Firefox Extension combo which will change the way you look at wordpress forever. It reduces the effort needed to install a plugin or a theme for wordpress to just one simple click. It’s excellent for admins, non-techies, people with restrictive firewalls, and just about anyone who uses wordpress and installs plugins and themes.
This is the kind of system that Automattic should get behind as it could help revolutionize how easy it is to install both themes and plugins, increasing WordPress’ popularity.
If you are using this system, let me know what you think of it. Is OneClick the easiest and fastest way to add plugins and themes? It has come a long way since I last talked about it.
