WordPress.com Celebrates its Second Birthday

Can you believe that WordPress.com has already been around for two years? Sometimes it feels like it has been around for much longer, and you would assume as much looking at how many blogs are now hosted by the service.

Matt has put up a post commemorating the second year of service on WordPress.com’s main blog:

It’s overwhelming to even begin to chronicle everything that has happened, but a year ago we didn’t have domain mapping, custom CSS, private blogs, auto-save, any language-specific homepages, the tag surfer, my comments, avatars, VIPs, friend surfer, space upgrades, Snap, click stats, audio embedding, a blog switcher, LaTEX, OpenID, contact forms, and dozens more features.

Great job everyone at Automattic, and I look forward to seeing what is added to the service over the next year.
