		<description>Yes! community developed plugins. awesome.  Frankly, as a user, i&#039;d rather have one good plugin that is &quot;guaranteed to work well&quot; rather than have to install and uninstall so many just to find the right one to use.</description>

But don&#039;t you think that it would be a requirement on wp.org, especially to be included as &#039;canonical&#039;? Also I do not think that &lt;em&gt;they would either fund your development costs or take over the coding themselves&lt;/em&gt; is what the Core Commit Team had in mind when creating &#039;canonical plugins&#039;.</description>
