I was googling for reviews of this book, came across this and was sadly let down.

I get the impression that you are a mate of the authors or are confused about who or what the book is for? At several points you say it is not for beginners, then you say it is for advanced users and then you go back on what you said and say it is for beginners.

That does NOT help beginners looking for a good WP book.

I am a WP beginner trying to get my head around WP and have read numerous hopeless WP books. I was going to buy this one because people say it can help beginners but after reading your review I would feel a mug if I bought it.

I am left with the impression that the book is for advanced users of WP but, wink wink, perhaps we can get some innocent newbies to WP to buy it also? You have not helped the authors out IMPO.

You really need to clarify what you are saying in this review.

I don't have the "WordPress Bible" yet but a review in Spring is planned. Having followed Aaron for many years already I expect the targeted audience to be (slightly) different from 'Digging Into WordPress'.

I will review several more Wordpress book over the next weeks, months, hopefully all actual books even. Three more are lined up already, but have not reached me yet. :)
