He did say that, but I think as any parent he perhaps need to let go and bbPress grow up without his attention(?)

Well, Matt did say that bbPress is his baby and that he got burnt out on working on it. I believe the focus is on releasing 3.0 and then getting the core more streamlined. He even recommended using another plugin for forum capabilities in the meantime.

Yes, that would be my guess as well. Just really wish they’d start explaining more about what it exactly is that they’re doing .. some sort of roadmap would be appreciated.

Ah, progression on the BBpress site, I’m hoping the same.
Probably should wait after WP3 for more activity there.
