Twitter, like other forms of social media, is a lot of fun – so much so that it can be addictive. Most people can’t go more than a few hours without checking their Twitter profile, and so it was only a matter of time before it was converted into a means of producing business results in an increasingly online-oriented market – which applies to every niche.
As a blogger, you do more than run a website for your personal enjoyment. Such formats are the new form of Internet business, and even when you are dealing with an entertainment genre, you are running a new kind of business venture. Just looking at how bloggers have become such a major part of information sharing should show you how serious it truly is. Read More

They cover everything from guest posting to uploading content to purpose-built networks (like YouTube or Soundcloud), to offering your own free, downloadable content products on your own blog.” If you read blogs or use Facebook, you’ve certainly experienced content marketing first hand. If you haven’t heard of Carly Rae Jepsen’s song “Call Me Maybe”, you’re a very lucky person. This track has gone viral with the help of both celebrities and regular folk doing their own music videos where they are singing along to it. Even dogs have joined the bandwagon.
The song, in a nutshell, is about a girl who gets so smitten by a guy that she gives him her phone number so he would call her. It’s crazy, but if you’re a blogger who wants to strengthen communication between yourself and your readers, offering your contact information should be an essential part of your game plan. The best way to do this is by putting up a Contact Us page.
How are things going this Friday morning? I hope that you get a lot of work done in spite of the weekend tantalizingly near.

Yesterday, Facebook announced the launch of a new WordPress plugin that makes it easier than ever to integrate Facebook into your site.
Though integration has always been possible, it’s been a bit of a headache requiring a mashup of plugins and/or coding to integrate with Facebook’s notoriously verbose and complex API.
The new plugin makes integration easy. With a few minutes of setup and no coding, WordPress users can now add a social publisher that blasts their posts out over their feeds and fan pages, replace their WordPress comments with Facebook’s alternative, add a recommendations bar that finds related posts and also add like, subscribe and send buttons.
The plugin is both so powerful and useful that Samuel “Otto” Wood, the creator of the popular Simple Facebook Connect plugin, will eventually stop supporting it in favor of the official plugin.
But is integrating your site so tightly with Facebook really a good idea? The answer isn’t simple and it depends heavily on your site and the best way to decide is to look at the pros and cons while making the decision for yourself. Read More
