This plugin was found at Weblog Tools Collection and uses Jay Allen’s list of known spammers to help prevent comment spam. It’s easy to install and has a simple interface to either add your own spammer information or update your blacklist from Jay’s list on occasion.

any comment where the URL, e-mail or comment matches one of the regular expressions or strings in your database or where the IP matches an IP in the blacklist database, will be held for moderation.
