Description
We are seeking a Part-time/Contract Appeal Writer for our Garden City location.
Hours are Mon-Thursday 5:30pm-8:30pm
Appeal Writer/Health Insurance Appeals
Appeal Writers produce appeals based on patients' records. All appeals are mailed to appropriate insurance companies in an effort to reverse their initial decision to deny payment to our hospital clients. Medical necessity of the admission, contract information, and pertinent state & federal regulations are incorporated into each appeal when applicable, producing highly successful results. We are persistent and comprehensive in our quest for denial reversal and in achieving payment. The ideal candidate must possess excellent writing skills, the ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet ongoing deadlines, and strong research capabilities (appeal writers compile information from a variety of sources- mainly hospital medical records, the internet, and correspondence from insurance companies).
Background in the medical field is a plus.
Hourly compensation $14-$17/hourly based on experience.
Biology and Writing Education is helpful in this role.
