Seeking Content Writer for Growing Marketing Firm (San Jose, CA)
The Aspire Company, a San Jose-based marketing firm that provides solutions for a wide
variety of businesses, is looking for professional content writer to support our continued
growth.
Our clients look to us on a regular basis for all kinds of writing--Web content, articles,
brochures, case studies, advertising copy, blog posts, press releases, white papers, video
scripts and more. This role requires the ability to decipher strategic needs and develop
clear, consistent copy that highlights our clients' brands, products, services and marketing
initiatives, while connecting with their audiences.
Please note that this is a part-time, remote opportunity.
Qualifications
• Degree in Journalism, Communications or English
• A minimum of three years writing experience in a marketing role
• Small business and financial industry experience a plus
Responsibilities
• Be the voice of all marketing messaging, including website copy, blogging, brochures,
direct mail, ads and all other marketing outreach
• Research and conduct interviews on the business model and industry of each client in
order to write with authority
• Collaborate with designers, project managers and clients
• Apply correct tone and style for different mediums and audiences
• Incorporate client and peer feedback and edits
• Proofread and edit colleagues' writing as needed
• Contribute to the creative process beyond writing projects

• A knack for writing creativity balanced with respect for business standards, brands and
audience preferences
• Ability to juggle different writing styles, tones and mediums
• Ability to quickly comprehend diverse industries and their respective terminologies
