Witty, Fresh SEO Writers Needed: Automotive / Mobile Technology Site
We’re an online news and information site focused around 4 areas.
1)Automotive (New cars, company news, etc)
2)Automotive Technology (Automotive features, technical integrations, etc.)
3)Technology in general (Laptops, desktops, software, etc)
4)Mobile Technology (iPhone, Tablets, Android, Palm, AT&T, Sprint, Etc)
The content should surround the above theme; so I’m looking for writers with either a background in the automotive industry, an interest in cars and car culture, some automotive pop culture knowledge or technology currently being used or being experimented on and researched for future use.
Your articles should be focused topics around current events/news releases containing between 300-400 words for each post. You’ll have the freedom to make them as creative as you’d like while also focusing on some factual and marketing information, such as 1) the features 2) the benefits that a person gets, and/or 3) why someone should buy it.
We are looking for writers with a bit of wit and humor to make the content enjoyable to read.
News comes out all the time for new articles so there shouldn't be any repetition.
Work Load and Duration:
This will be an ongoing project with no end time. We'd like to have writers that will geographically disperse to cover a wide range of times and time zones. Please include your time zone and city you're located in. We are looking at posting between 8-12 articles during the weekday and less during the weekend.
Skills Needed:
Understanding of SEO-driven writing, including the ability to work keywords into sentences naturally.
Creativity that adds personality to your writing.
Proficiency in standard English grammar, punctuation and syntax.
Use standard American spelling (color, not colour).
Native English speaker.
Able to self-edit and deliver clean content.
Tailor writings to fit the guidelines of our in-house style guide.
Experience with Google Docs. Articles and topics will be requested, approved, and tracked via a shared Google Doc's Spreadsheet.
Familiarity with Google Gmail. You will have access to a shared email address with tips from visitors of the website.
Familiarity with Umbraco (http://umbraco.org). Not a deal breaker if you don't, and videos on how to use Umbraco and post articles will be provided.
The ability to produce original, unique pieces of writing—no plagiarism or spinning
