Description
The American Heritage Society is looking for a copy editor for our website, www.americanheritage.com, one of the oldest and largest history web sites, with articles written by many of the leading historians of the last 60 years. The copy editor will also help compile some of these essays into ebook anthologies on such subjects as the Civil War, Old West, and the Presidency.
This is a contract position and telecommuting is OK. But the copy editor must be available to come to our offices in Rockville for occasional meetings. The position could evolve into a full-time staff position with the magazines, American Heritage and Invention & Technology, or with our new digital initiative, Heritage Education.
American Heritage recently published its 60th Anniversary issue, with articles by 14 Pulitzer Prize-winning authors. For more information, see our press release at: "American Heritage Celebrates 60th Anniversary". There is also a lot of information about our company at our "About" pages.
