Description
We are an upcoming Fashion media website looking for a blogger with a back in or is knowledgeable of eco-friendly, conscious, vegan alternative fashion trends and brands. Some of the brands we have covered under this heading are Toms, By Samii Ryan Accessories, A.D.O. Organics, and Allison Parris. You are basically responsible for anything relating to the alternative fashion scene. You will be covering anything from a limited edition conscious collection from a major retailer, to a handmade jewelry company that hires indigenous tribes in the Andes Mountains to melt down the bullet casings in their guns and craft bracelets. The blogger will be responsible for writing 5 editorial style posts 300-500 in length each week.
Candidates must be self-starter able to generate ideas and articles on own. Must care about or be aware of high fashion trends in the sustainable field. We will provide brands and news to cover but you must be knowledgeable of or able to research the topic. All pieces must come from a strong fashion background first. We have a heavy emphasis of style and being fashionable but being conscious of the world around us. We are looking for creative types who are familiar/in the fashion industry and have a general love of trends, style, and fashion every season. We want someone with a unique voice who is able to think outside of the box in the topic area. We want you to take it and make it your own.
Other qualities you MUST have:
Experience as a writer/reporter, preferably on a daily paper or blog (or) Experience in the Fashion industry with a writing background. Students with knowledge are encouraged to apply
The ability to write clearly, thoughtfully and keep it interesting.
Able to adapt to the AP stylebook, all posts must be formatted as such.
The ability to research and report
The ability to break stories
Knowledge of sustainable and vegan Fashion!!
Position is only able to pay $6 per post since we are a growing company, but we are looking for bloggers to grow with us as a company. We look to increase the pay as the bloggers spend more time with us. Quality of content is reviewed after the first 100 posts and increase will be awarded then.
