Description
Benchmark Education, a growing educational publishing company, is looking for an experienced freelance Copyeditor to join its Editorial Department for a temporary full-time assignment. All work will be done on-site in our office located in Pelham, NY.
We are looking for a superior editor who is detail-oriented and computer savvy, with proficiency in Word, Excel, and InDesign. You’ll edit and proofread a wide range of print and Web-based materials, including reading texts for students; teacher’s guides; training materials; and marketing brochures and catalogs. You should be comfortable juggling several projects concurrently and enjoy working collaboratively with other departments to deliver high-quality products.
You’ll need a B.A. in English, education, or a related field and three to five years of copy editing experience in a fast-paced publishing environment. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a real plus.
