Description
Seeking freelance copy editor (for the months of June and July) to manage copy flow and ensure quality in award-winning weekly online publications.
Duties:
Manage copyediting and proofreading of weekly copy for 10+ online publications until all copy is complete and meets requirements
Ensure quality in various other projects and materials, including content lineups
Adhere to house style and AP style
Traffic copy and make sure deadlines are met
Skills & Requirements:
Self-starter with excellent working knowledge of the English language
At least 2 years of demonstrated copyediting experience, preferably with AP Style
Solid research and organization skills
Professional phone and e-mail manner
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
Keen attention to detail
Willingness to follow directions and lead with a good team spirit
