Description
Open Road Integrated Media is seeking off-site freelance designers to create ebook and print-on-demand covers.
Responsibilities:
Our covers are typically branded as author series, and the number of books per project will vary by author. Correspondence will take place via email to set deadlines, go over budgets, obtain initial designs, give feedback, and finalize covers. Projects typically run for 4 weeks from initial comps to final files. Designers can illustrate on their own, but are also given a small budget for obtaining stock photography. All genres needed: literary, mystery, young adult, thriller, science fiction, etc.
Job Requirements:
-Designers should have a portfolio of book cover design that shows sophistication; understanding of typography; and careful, measured design work
-Ability to meet deadlines a must
-Designer must be adept at royalty-free stock photographer research
-Experience with author series a plus
-Must have InDesign 5.5 and be able to work from home
