Our goal is to grow our content team and provide more TV show coverage, more news, and more fun for TV fans.
We are recruiting guru-level TV writers to cover shows and TV news in a work-at-home, freelance role. Hours may vary depending on the volume of pre-assigned shows, but you can expect to publish 10-30 pieces per week. In addition to specific show coverage, you MUST be flexible to meet spur-of-the-moment deadlines that come up.
-Watch and write about TV! Our writers are TV junkies who publish excellent episode recaps, news, photo galleries, slideshows and other media for assigned shows.
-Site Management. You will be in charge of a micro-site for each show you cover. You will be responsible for editing, publishing, and curating content for optimal user engagement and traffic volume.
-TV-Show expertise. Stay on top of all updates and news for your assigned shows. This includes:
1) watching episodes when they air
2) writing, editing, and publishing great content quickly
3) actively looking for news, updates, and other publishing opportunities for your shows.
-Timely, relevant news coverage of shows to which you have been assigned.
-Strong writing skills and experience
-Ability to watch TV, write, self-edit, and publish error-free content on fast-paced deadlines
-Super strong knowledge of popular TV shows, entertainment news, and pop-culture news
-Previous experience writing content for the internet and driving pageview traffic
-Knowledge of standard journalistic style conventions
-Solid understanding of content promotion via social media platforms
-Basic-level knowledge of HTML coding preferred
