Description
Parts & People is a six-edition, business-to-business publication in the automotive parts and service industry. The publication circulation includes all major segments of the industry including mechanical and collision repair, recyclers, dealership parts and service, and independent parts distribution. Denver-based, Parts & People publishes all six of its editions primarily west of the Mississippi River.
We publish best practices, byline feature articles from interviews with business owners and managers, cover local industry-related events, and cover national industry perspectives derived from national association involvement and interviews with manufacturers and industry leaders.
A contract writer position is available for national collision articles and regional feature articles in the River Valley (St. Louis) and Midwest editions.
We are seeking a writer with strong familiarity with the collision repair industry throughout the distribution channel and at the collision repair shop.
The feature writer will write one or two articles per month. A feature article for us is approximately 750 to 850 words plus two, sometimes three, photos. Story interviews are arranged by Parts & People, although recommendations are welcome once appropriate.
We publish monthly, around the third week of the month. We pay per column inch, including photos but excluding headline. We pay travel expenses outside the greater metro area. If any other expenses are possible, we agree upfront (hotel, meal, etc.) regarding reimbursement.
