The GRIOT Journal is seeking Freelance Writers to write on a variety of topics.
The goal of the Journal is to increase awareness surrounding the issue of trauma (physical, mental, emotional and sexual) and co-occurring disorders. Our target audience is survivors of trauma and secondary victims as well as service providers serving marginalized, disenfranchised and minority populations.
Job Description
- Research and write insightful feature and up to the minute news articles on a wide range of topics
- Ensure that the work product is well written and submitted on time to meet deadline requirements
- Editing and rewriting articles that have been sent back for revision
- Conduct interviews either over the phone or in person
- Source images and other media formats to accompany written work
- Keep up to date with the trends and developments related to the focus and goals of The GRIOT Journal.
