Description
The position is responsible for designing and updating printed and electronic materials in adherence to branding guidelines for Parks & Recreation programs, activities and events, such as flyers, posters, direct mail pieces, brochures, forms, and other materials. The primary requirement is knowledge of graphic layout utilizing Adobe CS applications, primarily Adobe InDesign, preferably in a PC environment. Basic photograph and illustration manipulation, as well as familiarity with print production processes, such as file preparation, paper selection and pricing, may be required. Knowledge of principles of web design and layout, familiarity with social media is desirable, but not required. Photography skills are a plus. The position also assists with other graphic and clerical projects as needed.
Pay rate is $15-$18 per hour. Flexible weekday hours are available Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. M-F. Must work on-site at Harding Community Center, 3096 Harding Street, Carlsbad CA -- no agencies, please. Part-time employee cannot exceed 1,000 total hours worked in one fiscal year.
