The right candidate would be an experienced online copywriter with proven abilities writing engaging, SEO-friendly content for websites, email blasts, blog posts, online press releases, landing pages and more. You will be a main resource in creating content for client projects and internal assets. This is NOT an entry-level position, we want someone who can work independently and does not require much training.
Have a college degree, a GPA of 3.5 and better, and have at least 3 years of professional work experience?
Believe that you could tutor someone on how to write engaging content for landing pages, blogs and websites using SEO best practices?
Have at least 2 years of professional experience writing web content?
Have at least 10 published blog posts that are fully optimized for the web?
Understand terms associated with analytics, paid search and SEO (enough to write easily about them) OR have general marketing or agency experience?
Understand the relationship between SEO and UX?
Understand persuasive techniques (and can articulate them)?
Want a position in the Roseville/Sacramento area?
Work independently and manage your own priorities without a lot of supervision?
Review a website and identify elements which are important to incorporate in new content (tone, industry phrases)?
Incorporate keywords into content in a natural way?
Create a plan for content optimization efforts keeping goals and what would most impact site traffic?
Utilize html and use a CMS to make changes to a website or blog?
Take an existing article and reuse elements to create a blog post, Facebook post, tweet and webpage?
Jump in to a project easily (without having to be the end to end resource?)
Great with clients?
Organized, detail-oriented and an expert with grammar and spelling?
Collaborative and adept at working with team members to meet deadlines?
Familiar with many industries and how to appeal to different audiences?
Humble enough to know where you are weak, and ask for help when needed?
Keeping up with changes in the digital space by reading blogs, attending webinars, and improving your craft?
