The Green Depot on-line store (www.greendepot.com) carries a full-line of sustainable paint, cleaning, filtration, lighting solutions, and insulation targeted at both the Do-It-Yourself customer and the contractor/design trade. We carry stylish and sustainable nursery products, a library of educational and design books on being green, and numerous gifts and everyday objects. GreenDepot.com is also a showroom for building supplies and kitchens, which can be specially ordered via the phone. The Flagship store in Manhattan has a Kitchen showroom of sustainable and high-quality custom kitchens; and a Building Supply department showcasing building materials that can be special ordered.
We need a technical writer with passion, interest and knowledge of environmental issues. This position is responsible for writing blog entries, information text for the products offered on our website, and assisting, as needed, with other e-commerce related tasks. The position is perfect for a college student majoring in English, Journalism or Environmental Studies. The position is based at our Flagship store in Manhattan, 222 Bowery. We are flexible on schedule, but need a minimum of 15-20 hours a week.
