You would be responsible for invigorating and maintaining our various social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and our blog, generating cool content, managing giveaways, and promoting our existing retailers. You should have awesome written and verbal skills, an excellent grasp of the aforementioned social media sites, great attention to detail, but also the ability to be personable and fun online.
You would also help reach out and send care packages to bloggers, magazines, TV, and other media. You should be familiar with writing press releases to create buzz about our latest licensing deals, partnerships, and other important news. We are also open to new ideas, so you should be creative and self-motivated.
We are looking at a 3-month initial engagement, with you guaranteeing a certain amount of hours per week. After 3 months, we can discuss the potential for a more long-term relationship.
You should have impeccable spelling and grammar and be both professional and lively. We would prefer that you have past PR experience, especially in the fashion industry, and particularly toward the 15-35-year-old women's demographic. Familiarity with or a love for Japanese pop/kawaii culture is a plus. We are based in the San Francisco Bay Area and would prefer if you were local, but we will certainly consider a remote assistant if we feel you are a good fit with our company, since the bulk of your work will be done online. You will need access to your own computer and internet.
