Developer MUST be based in Miami or New York City.
One Rockwell is looking for a Senior Magento Developer to join a new and small professional services team of high end, high performance web application programmers. One Rockwell is a full-service eCommerce agency that partners with brands to connect them to the digital marketplace with their unique aesthetic and voice, an effective strategy, and the right tools for growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Leading up a small team of Magento developers building industry leading ecommerce solutions in the fashion and lifestyle market.
• Take a senior role in creating custom Magento based eCommerce solutions.
• Design and develop new code modules and functions for our Magento eCommerce platform
• Work with UI Designer to build robust user interfaces suitable for specific global markets.
• Work with multifunctional global team of software developers, designers, quality control engineers, project managers, marketing and creative professionals, and others to achieve the project goals.
• Participate in creation of technical project and user documentation.
• Act as a subject expert on Magneto and PHP development.
• Great communications skills - both with internal teams and communicating with clients.
Requirements and Qualifications
• 2+ years experience in development of Magento based eCommerce sites.
• 3+ years’ experience in LAPM (Linux, Apache, PHP, MySQL)
• 5+ years overall experience in software development
• PHP
• PHP framework experience (Zend, Cake, Symfony)
• JS (jQuery)
• MySQL
• LAMP stack experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to address clients and internal project teams
• Experience working as a team member in a multi-project environment
• Thorough understanding of One Rockwell’s service offering and the
inter-related processes that require client input and approval
• Experience designing eCommerce sites
• Fluency in newest technologies and eCommerce best practices
• Organized, highly motivated and detail-oriented (with a high sense of urgency)
• A great attitude
• A calm and poised demeanor in a high-pressure job
Preferences
• Experience in Microsoft .Net software development
• Experience in web analytics
• Experience in EDI is an advantage
• AJAX
• XML / XSLT
