Our small SEO/SEM firm is in need of someone to write content, populate social media, tweet and other various sometimes mundane but other times really fun things on the internet.
Do you know what SEM/SMM and SEO means? Have any experience in it?
We have some pretty large clients and they keep us busy all the time. We bill them for your work. The more you know how to do, the more we can offer them and the more we all make.
The guy who is doing this now for our company is going back to school. He was making $450 on average per week. In the past we have had people make $400 to $600 a week but it's on a piece by piece basis (meaning it's not hourly.. you write a blog post and you get paid $ for that... you do a press release and it's $XX dollars and so on). Add the pieces together and it equals about $450 but could be more depending on you.
If you work a Saturday or a Sunday, you can add $50-$75 for each weekend day (we only work 4 hours on weekend days)
We want someone to grow with us as we grow. We want someone who fits in at our small office. You will have a desk and a computer. It's a contractor job so you have no benefits and you have to pay your own taxes. If there is bad weather expected, we do allow you to work at home but otherwise we want you here.
WHAT WE DON'T WANT (sometimes this is easier to know than what we DO want):
1) We don't want anyone from outside this area. We will trash your response the moment we see it if you are not in the Chicago area and have an issue with coming to Bensenville (just west of Ohare).
2) We don't want someone who is a jerk. We are VERY strange people here and celebrate holidays (we just celebrated National Chocolate Day,National Work like a Dog Day and a few other weird ones because we again like to take life a little less serious)
3) We don't want pigs who leave food in the desk or smell. We work very close to each other here.
4) We don't care if you have 2000 hours of experience doing this. The best people have always been the ones who are not burnt out on the job. If you own a web company and want to partner with us then we will talk with you but we will assume you want to dissolve your company in lieu of stock in ours (yes we are a corporation and have stock). We then can add your services to our menu of products we offer clients and you will be part of our success.. not just a contractor but know that our clients are very large ones and demand the best from us so we will demand that you have some serious experience to bring to the table.
