Description
Allion Engineering Services is currently looking to hire a skilled Technical Writer to work on software documentation for applications based on Many Integrated Core (MIC) Architecture. The diversity of approaches, architecture and technology you will be able to work on is rarely matched by other technical writing opportunities.
Daily responsibilities include:
• Designing, writing, revising, and editing software documentation
• Working closely with software engineers and other project stakeholders to develop and revise API documentation and ensure completeness and accuracy
The ideal candidate should have 5-7 years of experience documenting software tools for a highly technical audience, and 3-4 years of experience creating API reference and software user guides. The candidate should also be familiar with software programming concepts, and possess a good working knowledge of authoring tools and technologies, such as:
• FrameMaker
• Robohelp
• Acrobat
• HTML
Additional qualifications preferred (but not required):
• 2-3 years of experience with C/C++ programming
