Description
We are working with our client in locating two Technical Writers to work with a team of writers to rewrite all content for a 20,000 page manual that will be ported to the client's intranet. In this role, you will document operational procedures on "how to stop payment on a check" etc. The audience for the content is the Global Wealth Management division: operations in all branches and branch office processing groups.
Currently it is HTML pages authored in Dreamweaver which will be migrated to new Interwoven LCMS. Pages will be converted over. The first two thousand pages are new content and will mostly be cut and paste with some identifying of information based on knowledge types. The next 18,000 pages will need a complete rewrite as the content is older and will need to be analyzed and changed.
Requirements:
§ 3+ years of strong Technical Writing Experience
§ Working knowledge Dreamweaver/HTML, i.e. links/bookmarks, writing samples
§ Experience with Information Mapping System and similar concepts
§ Ability to work in a fast paced environment
§ Background check and fingerprint required if selected
Preferred skills:
§ Financial industry background
§ LCMS experience
§ Experience with MS Office Suite 2010, Graphic Editor (Snag-it, Photoshop, Paint)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 months with possible extension
