Outreach, Inc. (www.outreach.com), the leading provider of church communication tools, is seeking an experienced Proof Reader in our Production Art department. Successful candidates will have good proof-reading experience and demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
Description: The Production Design Department has an opening for a temporary proofer to assist with the high seasonal volume of orders. The Proof Reader would be responsible for proofing all text on customer print orders, prior to the designer sending the final proofs for review.
This requires a high attention to detail as well as good proofing experience. The editing is flexible as it is driven by the design and the customer requests. The Proof Reader would refer to all communication and documentation related to an order if necessary, to ensure that customer requested changes have been made.
Note: This is a flexible, temporary position until mid December 2011, and possibly another temporary period from mid February to mid April, 2012.
Qualifications: Must have 3-5 years Proof Reading experience.
Experience in proofing in a deadline driven, printing company highly beneficial.
Knowledge and understanding of the Christian church is preferred - all customers are churches.
Some understanding of marketing communications and/or experience in this field would also be of huge advantage.
