AOL Travel is currently recruiting for a Freelance Travel & Social Media Expert Blogger. If you meet the requirements listed below and would like to be considered to become part of a world class travel blogging team, please send your submission requirements for consideration.
Writer Requirements for the position:
• EXPERIENCE WITH TRAVEL INDUSTRY and writing travel features and/or blog posts
• Strong interest in self-promotion via Social Media networks
• Strong network of contacts within the travel industry
• Must meet daily/weekly publishing deadlines
• Post length: average 300-500 words
• Must be familiar with some HTML and capable of publishing own posts
• Must be proficient in sourcing and embedding images and videos into posts
• Able to pitch stories that will be successful in driving visitors from social networking sites
• # of posts per week: anywhere from 1-5 per week
Cost per post: $50 base rate with bonus potential up to $1,000 based on performance targets.
