Promising Internet startup is seeking a talented writer for a dream job. If you are passionate about romance, relationships and fun, if you like writing and understand the latest trends on web 2.0, social networking and online experiences and if you want to change the world - we would love to have you on our team! We are launching a new social site helping people build and maintain healthy relationships and we need someone to contribute ideas and to write content for our web site. The ideal candidate will be someone with a comfortable understanding of web businesses and online publishing and promotion. A spectacular candidate would have a background in advertising / marketing / sales or at least an interest or curiosity about these areas.
Your assignments may include:
- Brainstorming ideas for our social site
- Writing articles on romance and relationships
- Editing articles submitted by users
- Promoting the site through search engines (SEO) and online media
- Creating and publishing press releases
- Speaking on radio and TV shows
- Identifying right content for particular marketing strategies
- Owning web site design, structure and content
You will work closely with our core team so that you have a deep understanding of our venture*s direction and strategy. Helping us relate this into common, easy-to-understand and fun language is the objective. In addition to compensation we offer stock options and excellent opportunity for growth.
Requirements
- 1-4 years editorial experience at a magazine or newspaper, preferably at a daily where intense deadlines ruled your life
- A deft editorial eye, i.e. the ability to make bad writing dazzle
- Mad attention to detail and an uncanny ability to multitask
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to write quality content
- Experience with web content editing and site management
- Strong desire to be a part of something new, exciting, and super fast-paced
- Knowledge of HTML and ability to create web pages with HTML authoring tools
