Not For Tourists is looking for writers for its 2013 guide to Washington, DC! We are looking for writers with knowledge of DC restaurants, nightlife, shopping, parks, sports, transit and of course its myriad neighborhoods. Please submit a resume, cover letter and five short writing samples -- each sample should be a three- to ten-word (3-10) description of a current DC restaurant, bar, or shop (samples will only be used for the purpose of evaluating your application). In your cover letter, please state your areas of expertise from this list below:
1. Downtown (Chinatown / Union Station, Dupont Circle / Adams Morgan, Foggy Bottom, Georgetown, Logan Circle / U Street, National Mall, RFK, Southeast / Anacostia, The Hill, Waterfront)
2. Greater District (16th Street Heights / Petworth, Adams Morgan (North) / Mt Pleasant, Brookland / Langdon, Catholic U, Cleveland Park / Upper Connecticut, Columbia Heights, Glover Park / Foxhall, Near Northeast, Tenleytown / Friendship Heights, Trinidad, Woodley Park / Cleveland Park)

We recommend familiarizing yourself with the content of the current 2012 DC book before submitting an application. Minimum pay is $100 for all contributors.
