My Themes
Themes, sometime better known as templates, have been introduced into the WordPress personal publishing platform as of version 1.5. WordPress themes are easily installed into your blog through the presentation link in the administration panel. To install a theme
- Log in to the WordPress admin panel.
- Select the Presentation menu option.
- From the Select column in the table, click on “Select” for the theme you wish to activate.
- To view the new look, click View Site at the top of the Panel’s screen.
You will usually find the following files in a theme distribution package
- 404 Template = 404.php
- Archive Template = archive.php
- Archives = archives.php
- Comments Template = comments.php
- Footer Template = footer.php
- Header Template = header.php
- Links = links.php
- Main Template = index.php
- Page Template = page.php
- Popup Comments Template = comments-popup.php
- Post Template = single.php
- searchform.php = searchform.php
- Search Template = search.php
- Sidebar Template = sidebar.php
- Stylesheet = style.css
The WordPress website has lots of information concerning themes. Please visit them to learn more.
Blogging Pro has an entire category devoted to WordPress themes. I spend a lot of time searching the blogosphere for new 1.5 version themes. I try to add a screenshot and short description of the theme but often, time does not permit me to provide much commentary.
I have taken some open source web designs and converted them to WordPress 1.5 themes.
Gila is my latest theme and is located here with features and instructions on how to install.

I also have Yadda which is located here.
