There is a lot of discussion around the blogosphere on the topics of full RSS feed vs. partial RSS feed and the placing of ads in syndicated feeds. In a simplified explanation, consumers are saying, “If you don’t deliver full feeds then I won’t subscribe to your feed” and content providers are saying, “If I deliver full feeds I’ll lose ad revenue because my readers won’t visit my site”.
Gizmodo seems to have developed a fair policy of delivering partial ad-free feeds or full feeds with advertising enclosed. Readers choice. The ads are placed every fifth entry so the reader is not bombarded with sales pitches.
