Michael Nguyen has written some php code that generates a Google Sitemap xml file with all your posts ordered by time – newest posts first.
I used one of the suggestions in the comments section and altered the MySQL query to include Pages as well as posts on my Google Sitemap.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Sitemap service that Google recently released you can visit here as Michael Nguyen gives a descent explanation. You can also visit the new beta Sitemap site on Google.
By the way, it took about 12 hours for Google to report that they spidered my new Sitemap.
I merged the scripts by Arne Brachhold and Michael Nguyens together with a few other ideas (including my own), so that you can now have the best of all worlds: Configurable, what is included and their priorities/frequencies; Can include posts, pages and category pages; gzips; and generates only if necessary (by having a backup that is used if nothing has changed).
