Findcontextual, high-quality images

The photo that must be included in your blog post should be related to its topic and must be in high resolution (at least 300dpi).

You can find the image that we used in our blog on GraphicStock where you can get unlimited downloads of high-quality stock images to use on your blog. They even have a 7 day free trial, so you can download these images and try editing the images along with us!

For this example, I will use the image of a push pin that I found from GraphicStock because I’m talking about “pinnable” images in this post.

Qualityalone won’t get your image pinned on Pinterest. You will need to give a reason whyvisitorsshould pin your image on their boards.

A way of doing this is by adding text and embellishments to your image.

This can be done byusing a graphics editing tool or software. You can choose from a list of free graphic design tools at “LETS GET VISUAL! 12 ONLINE DESIGN TOOLS TO INSPIRE SOCIAL MEDIA EFFORTS.”

Also, you can use additional tools like a background remover to isolate the subject of the stock photo and make the image more compelling.

If you have no design experience, then you don’t have to worry as the tools mentioned on the link above are fairly easy to use due to their drag and drop features.

After deciding on which tool to use, be sure to type out the title of your blog post on the image. If you want to use adifferent headline instead, read “8 Winning Headline Strategies and the Psychology Behind Them” to learn the different types of headlines to usebased on the kind of blog post you’re aiming for.

You should also type out the URL of your blog. If you have a logo for your blog, you should include it as well. The reason for this is so Pinterest users will see the post and associate your image with your brand and site URL.

If you want to drive increased traffic to the post you’re creating an image for, you can use Bitly and shorten and customize the URL of the blog post to include on the image.

Try to achieve a different look with yourimage by adding filters and effects to it.

Once you’ve done all these, you should come up with something similar – if not better – likethe one I createdbelow.
