Stephanie Specchio

Writer who uses words to inspire/motivate/change Watkins Glen, United States

About Me

I am an experienced marketing and communications professional with a history of helping for-profit and non-profit organizations advance their missions through strategic and creative communication initiatives that are grounded in authentic storytelling. My entrepreneurial spirit and ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical implementation ensures that every project is mission-driven, results-oriented, and audience-centric. I am comfortable working across channels and platforms, with experience in all forms of digital and traditional media. I excel at understanding other points of view and leveraging these perspectives to craft content that engages and copy that converts. Listening is my superpower. Writing is my ultimate passion. I've been writing since first grade when my teacher bribed us with Bazooka bubble gum to write a story and read it to the class. I chewed a lot of gum that year and have been writing ever since. My professional responsibilities all involve communicating -- most often in writing -- with the goal of inspiring people to act. I believe words are powerful tools that can transform attitudes, expectations, and behaviors when used effectively. In my personal time, I make hand-crafted chocolates, truffles, and small-batch fudge. My husband and I own a small chocolate and gift shop in our town and enjoy meeting people from around the world who choose our region to rest and relax.
