MicroFamous
We’re a remote marketing agency serving clients in the U.S., primarily in real estate, lifestyle medicine, and finance. Our work focuses on amplifying the voices of coaches, speakers, and business owners — helping them stand out in their niches through podcasts, newsletters, and thought-leadership content.
The Role
We’re looking for a curious, idea-driven writer who can transform long-form client content into engaging marketing assets. Right now, most of your work will center on podcasts — but as we expand, you’ll also play a role in shaping newsletters and other formats.
This isn’t just about summarizing. We need someone who can spot unique, counterintuitive insights, capture the client’s voice, and translate that into content that makes audiences want to click, listen, and share.
What You’ll Do
- Watch/listen to raw podcast episodes and identify the sharpest, non-obvious ideas
- Write engaging show notes that highlight why the episode matters
- Create catchy YouTube titles, thumbnail text, and email subject lines that drive clicks
- Select 10-second hooks and 60-second clips that make great teasers for social media
- Draft short promo emails that get people to tune in
- Pull quotes for social graphics that are punchy and memorable
- Collaborate with our content manager and adapt processes as we expand into newsletter content
What We’re Looking For
Hard Skills
- Strong writing skills — clear, punchy, and marketing-focused (not academic)
- Ability to distill long-form content into short, compelling copy
- Editorial judgment: can spot what’s noise vs. what’s gold
- Familiarity with content marketing, podcasts, and/or YouTube best practices
- Ability to manage deadlines across multiple episodes
Soft Skills
- Curiosity for ideas — you consume content to learn, not just for entertainment
- Analytical empathy — can step into a client’s shoes and see the world through their perspective
- Creative insight — you notice what’s surprising, what breaks the pattern, what makes audiences lean in
- Adaptability — comfortable working in our current system, excited about where we’re going
AI literacy — you know how to use AI as a helper, not a crutch (your brain does the filtering) - While you’ll start with podcasts, we’re moving toward helping clients with interview-based newsletters.
- The ability to turn conversations into sharp, idea-driven written pieces will be an important part of this role as we grow.
To Apply
To apply, you’ll need to complete our writing and insight assessment. This gives us a chance to see how you think, how you filter ideas, and how you translate content into engaging copy. The assessment includes watching a real podcast episode, writing short marketing assets (show notes, title, subject line, etc.), and answering a few questions about your thinking process.
