My professional experience includes more than 20 years as a reporter and editor for Tri-County Newspapers, Inc., a company that published community newspapers in three cities in Southwestern Johnson County, Kan. I also have won several awards for my writing from the Kansas Press Association and the Kansas City Press Club.
