Penny Elliot

I bring eight year’s worth of experience in communications, public relations and writing across a diverse range of sectors including tertiary education, non-profit, health and sponsorship. I hold a Master of Arts with first class honours in Politics and International Relations and a Bachelor of Arts double majoring in Political Studies and History. 

Notable employers include the University of Auckland – New Zealand’s leading University, the National Hauora Coalition – New Zealand’s largest indigenous primary health organisation and the Starship Foundation – the official charity for New Zealand’s national children’s hospital. 

Outside of my work, I’m an avid volunteer. I currently volunteer at a wildlife hospital and sanctuary and for an organisation called the Community Comms Collective which supports New Zealand based charities and community groups with all of their communications needs from strategy and media relations to copywriting and social media.

Professionally, I am a detail-orientated and highly organised practitioner. I pride myself on delivering high-quality work and being a creative, yet strategic thinker. I regularly go above and beyond to deliver results that exceed expectations.
